all my coworkers and i talk about how we don’t get paid enough or even appreciated for all the work we do. Expectations are one thing but i swear their main goal is to sell and unless we do so, we wont get praised for our efforts. Genuinely one of the weirdest companies to work under

literally another reason i quit. i'm a licensed cosmetologist who worked there on the side while building clientele and looking for a full time salon job that would boost my income by walk in clients. we were constantly pushed to "build the basket" by talking people into buying things that are so horrible for the integrity of the hair. the company cares more about sales than their clientele. exactly why the company has such a bad reputation. i have never been to a sally's since i quit.

my job is chill and I love my coworkers but I'm so tired of being forced to try and sell people things they don't need, if people ask for help I will happily give them anything they need but I'm not asking you 14 questions the second you walk in the door, the company is shit but I love my Sally girlies 😭

Last year I resigned as a Store Manager. Did I have a lot of bills? Yep. Still do. Been financially struggling since. Did I have another job lined up? Nope. I dropped everything. I loved my job but it wasn't worth it. I still shop with them because I know my district doesn't reflect the whole company but it is difficult to unlearn some things once you have put on a lanyard.🥺 But leaving once you have reached that point, it goes up from there.🥰 I told my DM "Passion doesn't belong in a place where only numbers matter." That place breaks spirits.😭❤️

the company is terrible, one of the worst jobs i’ve ever worked. I was an assistant manager who had been at my store for 3 years when the manager left i told them i want that stop, they told me okay! and then took it from under me. on top of that we went with out AC and worked in a 101-106 degree store. i still have a friend who works there.. and it’s still just as bad.

I've been working for Sally Beauty in Puerto Rico for 20 years and I love it 😊 My team is excellent. As a salesperson and professional, my job is to recommend products that I know will work well for the customer. I would NEVER recommend something I don't think will work for them. Besides, if it doesn't work, Sally Beauty has a policy that allows customers to exchange or return it if they don't like it. And there's such a wide variety of products for every style, I don't understand why they would lie and talk nonsense to customers. It's like going to a hair salon for a keratin treatment; they would recommend sulfate-free shampoo and products to maintain it. If they sell cell phones, they would recommend coverage, warranty, etc. Anyway, thank God I didn't have that experience with a great team. I'm sorry about your experience, but there are more good people than bad. Keep your chin up! Llevo 20 años trabajando para Sally en PR y me encanta 😊 mi equipo de trabajo es excelente. Como vendedora y profesional mi trabajo es recomendar productos que se que le pueden ir muy bien al cliente. JAMÁS recomendaría algo q crea que no le funciona. Además si no le funciona Sally tiene una política que si no le gustó que lo cambie o devuelva. Y hay tanta variedad de productos para cada estilo, que no entiendo por que mentir y hablar sin sentido a los clientes. Es como ir al salón de belleza darte una Keratina, te recomendarían shampoo sin sulfato y productos para mantenerla. Si venden Celular, recomendarían covers, garantía etc. En fin, gracias a Dios no me tocó con todo un gran equipo, lamento tu experiencia pero los buenos somos más. ÁNIMO

I worked there for a year and said I can give friends discounts and the district manager, and my manager was also fine with me, giving my discount out to my friends and family and watched me do it!!! Suddenly, I owe Sally beauty $600 :/

We didn’t even have an official DM when I worked there. The SM was terrible tho. I quit because of her. I enjoyed it as a part time job. But she made it awful.

I was an ASM after a year as a BA. Though I thank them for the management experience, it was awful. My manager quit after taking a whole week off. I was running my store with 3 others. They had me driving to 2 different stores to help out that were an hour away from my store in 2 different directions. We were not paid enough. My DM was also not great.

My DL is absolutely amazing and couldn't ask for a better team, I just see a lot of comments saying otherwise and I'm sorry y'all aren't having a good experience🥺 with that being said, I'm taking notes on your setups😂 my store is so small and the warehouse is ran by the 3 stooges😭😭😭😭😭
