So this is my story • I was diagnosed with depression in 2019 i was 11 years old. it all started when my grandpa was diagnosed with lung cancer, as a little girl finding out my grandpa had lung cancer and that he only had 2-6 months to live was the hardest thing ever. Watching him progressively get worst to the point where he was on hospice and having nurses coming and going. I remember all of the hospital visits. 2 months after my 12th birthday my grandpa had passed away and i didn’t get to say goodbye. I put my self down for not being here, i even attempted and self harmed. I had to go into therapy and get on medication my depression had gotten so bad. • Today i’m 19 years old in hair school building my future for him and for myself because i didn’t think i would make it past 12. I didn’t think i would be where i am today, and i think god everyday that im here . I thank god everyday that beat my battle. •depression is something you can’t always see from the outside. sometimes the people who smile the biggest are fighting battles they don’t know how to explain. some days getting through the day feels harder than anyone realizes, and some days you don’t even recognize yourself anymore. depression has taught me how heavy life can feel, but i’m still trying, still growing, and still hoping for better days. 🤍 if you’re struggling too, please remember you don’t have to pretend to be okay all the time. you matter, your feelings matter, and you deserve to feel happiness again. • You are not alone ##targetaudience##awareness##depressionawareness##depression##fyp
