Also older cars were more rigid so in crashes that metal goes straight to you, the plastic on newer cars crumple as and cushions you more so it’s not bad quality it’s build design

Metals worse if you hit something and your bumper collapses in on your wheel you cant turn your tires until you get a new bumper or just rock no bumper

Car manufacturers make most of the vehicles out of aluminum and the chassis aluminum alloy but cars like sedans and coups are made out of plastic so it can break a certain way when you crash and the car absorbs the impact being safer
