@americantravelarchives: Drive-in theaters still exist, and this one’s been lighting up Florida nights since 1948. Follow americantravelarchives for more hidden gems and bucket list adventures across the U.S. 📍 Silver Moon Drive-In – Lakeland, FL This is one of the last operating drive-in theaters in Florida, and it’s pure nostalgia. Two massive screens play double features every night, so you get two movies for the price of one — all from the comfort of your car. Tune in through your radio, grab some snacks, and watch the sun set before the screen lights up. 🍿 The concession stand is old-school (popcorn, pretzels, nachos, root beer floats), and prices are way better than a modern theater. 🎟️ Admission is only $8 for adults, $3 for kids (ages 4–9), and kids under 4 are free. 🕒 Open 7 nights a week, movies usually start around 8:45PM. 🛍️ On weekends, the lot also hosts a flea market that locals swear by. ✨ Pro Tip: Arrive early for a front-row spot, and bring chairs or a blanket if you’d rather sit outside your car. Who would you take on a nostalgic drive-in date? 🎬
