They look like Boudin balls, which is rice, meat, onions, and a fried ball with Cajun seasoning in the rice. If so, they are the best thing ever really good with a remulade. I have lived all over the US and Cajun food is my favorite. Welcome and glad you are able to experience it.

Man that looks sooo good. As someone who has been born and raised in southeast Louisiana I can vouch that we have the best seafood anywhere on earth. Actually we have some of if not the best food period here. Pretty much anything you eat here is guaranteed to be some of the best food you will find anywhere.
