@thesapor: Cowboy butter steak sliders ✨🍔 Ingredients Steak - 2 pounds ribeye or sirloin steak, sliced into strips - 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp garlic powder - 1 tsp soy sauce - Salt and pepper to taste (generous amount) - Smoked provolone cheese - Avocado oil for searing - Brioche buns “Caramelized” onions - 2-3 medium yellow onion, sliced - 1 tsp granulated sugar - Heaping pinch of salt Cowboy butter - 8 tbsp unsalted butter - 5 garlic cloves, minced - 1 shallot, minced - 1/2 lemon, freshly squeezed - 1 tbsp Dijon mustard - 1 heaping tbsp parsley, chopped - 1 heaping tbsp chives, chopped - 1 tsp thyme - 1 tsp cayenne powder (adjust to heat preference - 1/2 tsp red chili flakes - 1/2 tsp smoked paprika - Salt to taste Garlic butter - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted - 2 tbsp parsley, freshly chopped - 1 heaping tsp garlic powder - Salt to taste Instructions - Toss sliced steak with soy sauce, Worcestershire, garlic powder, and a generous amount of salt & pepper. Set aside. - Heat a skillet over medium heat with a little oil or butter. - Add onions, sugar, and salt. Cook 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft, golden, and jammy. Remove from pan and set aside. - Crank heat to medium-high/high.
Add steak in a single layer (work in batches if needed). - Sear 2–3 minutes per side until deeply browned. Remove and set aside. Lower heat to medium. - Add butter to the same pan. Once melted, add garlic and shallot — cook ~30 seconds until fragrant. - Stir in lemon juice, Dijon, parsley, chives, thyme, cayenne, chili flakes, smoked paprika, and salt. - Add steak back to the pan. - Toss to coat in the butter sauce for 1–2 minutes. - Preheat your oven to 375°F. - In an oven-safe baking dish, layer the bottom halves of your sliced brioche buns with smoked provolone cheese. - Add a generous layer of caramelized onions, followed by your cooked steak, then top with more cheese. - Place the top halves of the brioche buns on top. - Cover with foil and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted. - Remove the foil, brush with garlic butter, and bake uncovered for an additional 4–5 minutes until the buns are golden and crisp. - Take out of the oven, brush with more garlic butter, and serve warm. • • • #recipes #DinnerIdeas #sliders #steakrecipe #foodideas
