@destinybenway: Here’s a glimpse into what it’s like volunteering at a hostel in exchange for free housing (night shift edition) There are two types of shifts: reception or night activities. This shift was 10:30pm–1am, and I think I actually prefer working nights… it’s definitely more entertaining haha. It’s also fun checking in guests and then getting to party with everyone the next day. While working without pay isn’t for everyone, I’ve honestly been having a great time meeting people from all over the world and I’ve saved a lot of money since accommodation and meals are included.
