both larian and warhorse are making some of the best games in decades and seeing massive success because of it. only to turn around and rely on cost cutting that hurts their final products and their staff. an embarrassing trend in tech and development companies that seems to have left nothing untouched

part of what made kcd 2 so special is the dialouge and if they seem it fit to just replace the translator the upcoming games will see a drop in quality

AI'm getting a refund. KCDs studio is not a AAA studios tho, but Warhorses heads have a history of being douchebags, calling out other devs, calling out fans. All in all just a great studio.

This is not news. The one translator likely performs base translations. WH will likely continue to use human translators to add nuance and cultural context. This pile on needs to stop, people are racing to unfounded conclusions. WH deserve more respect.

It’s not like he was fully replaced. There’s still a human behind it. He was part of a 15 person team doing what without AI 5 could do and with AI like 2 can do 💀 “human aspect” isn’t needed for every detail
