Around 1311 AD, the ruler of the Mali Empire sent a fleet of 2,000 ships west across the Atlantic Ocean. This isn’t conspiracy. Egyptian historian al-Umari documented it straight from Mansa Musa’s own mouth during his 1324 pilgrimage. The Canary Current — the same one Columbus used — was already known. The Olmec colossal heads of Mexico (1200 BC)? That conversation is real and the scholarship exists. And THIS is what’s not debated: → Indigenous Americans taught European settlers how to grow the crops that fed the world → An enslaved African man named Onesimus brought inoculation knowledge from West Africa to Boston in 1706 — that knowledge stopped a smallpox epidemic and laid the groundwork for modern vaccines → Slaveholders specifically sought enslaved Africans from rice-growing regions because they needed African KNOWLEDGE to build the Carolina economy — documented by Dr. Judith Carney in Black Rice (Harvard University Press) They didn’t just steal our labor.
