Have you tried an upside down zipper on his safety sleepers? So that the moving part is on the bottom of his back, that it can't open by pulling at the top.

If he receive a ABA therapy, could you mention this behaviour to his therapist. They could find the function of this behaviour. It could be a sensory or attention or both but they can but a plan to reduce this behaviour.

I had a student who used to be very big into taking clothes off, and his parents used to put a zipper on everything and then make a hole next to the zipper. Once it was zipped up and use a zip tie to literally zip tie the zipper to the shirt so he could not pull the zipper down and get out of his clothes. It is definitely annoying, but it worked. the other nice thing is once he realized that that behavior could not be done anymore he stopped.

I have a Houdini on my caseload tha is a digger at night….we have found that if they put him in a brief, then 🚴🏼 one piece racing ‘suit’ (long legs if winter) and a backwards adult onesie over it, then PJ’s he struggles so hard he gives up before he gets to the biking suit has worked for my guy since 2013!

If he is pulling shirts over his head, could you attach a strap that goes from the front, between his legs and attaches/buckles at the back? Something like a life jacket has to keep children from slipping out of it?

Or maybe the invisible zippers? Think of like a pencil skirt, how the zipper is on the inside and the pull tab is hidden, an outfit or something with the hidden zipper

Have you tried a romper? I feel like he could still get out of it, but if his method is pulling it over his head from the neck, a romper would be harder for sure.

Try the first vest you cut the neck off but button it up with the button upside down so they are not available to him to unbutton
