Many deep-sea predators can detect movement through vibrations, pressure changes, or even the electrical signals your body naturally produces, like those sensed by Sharks, meaning that even if you’re perfectly still, even if you think you’re alone… they already know exactly where you are. And while all of this is happening, the pressure around you is so extreme your body wouldn’t even survive long enough to understand it, thousands of pounds crushing in from every direction. Some creatures glow in the dark, but not to help you—they use light as a trap, a signal, a bait in a world where curiosity can mean death.
