This wasn’t the whale trying to eat the people! 🐋 It was most likely lunge feeding, where humpback whales swim up with their mouths wide open to catch fish. The kayakers were accidentally in the middle of the fish, so the whale scooped them up too. Humpbacks can’t swallow people because their throats are too small, so it spit them back out. It’s an incredibly rare accident, not an attack. 💙
