@yadiy.hadini: This was my first time handling Oman frankincense tincture. From my own observation and people in perfumery, I learned that if you tincture it too long, you start extracting things you don’t want, like bitter, green, slightly burnt rubber and the raw gum smell. So it’s better to keep it short. But I wanted something more potent without pushing those facets. I used my old tincture, more than 1 year old at 10%, and filtered it through fresh Oman frankincense multiple times. I kept repeating until the resin turned almost white, meaning most of the fresh, slightly sweet, smoky facets were already extracted. Then I cold treated it overnight and filtered again to remove wax. What I get is a cleaner and more potent Oman frankincense tincture that I can use in smaller amounts, but with better clarity.
