@tripimprover: The Snow Queen (1911) by Edmund Dulac. The movie Frozen was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's 1844 fairy tale The Snow Queen. In 1911, the French-British illustrator Edmund Dulac created these color illustrations for the seven chapters of the fairy tale, which you can see in this video. The most famous one is probably this one entitled She Has Read All the Newspapers. Dulac was a successful illustrator of luxury children's books during that time.
