I'm against Russia, but you also gotta know that there is a significant percentage of people who were forced to sign a contract against their will or signed for them. Russian Youtuber Maxim Katz had talked about this issue and has videos with English subtitles talking about it.

this whole war is so hard for me to watch and understand. i grew up in russia, and i see the sweet boys that i grew up with & used to play games with, and now i see them fighting in a war no one wanted. a war that is just perpetuating YEARS of russian aggression and imperialism against Ukrainian culture. i pray everyday for a free ukraine, and a free russia in a different way.
