@athenasdriedflower: #GREEKMYTHOLOGY In Greek mythology, Hector is the eldest son of Priam and Hecuba, and is widely regarded as the greatest warrior of the Trojans during the Trojan War. He is a central figure in The Iliad, where his bravery, honor, and sense of duty are constantly highlighted. Hector is described as noble, courageous, and deeply devoted to his city and family. Unlike many other heroes, he is motivated not by glory alone, but by responsibility: he fights to defend Troy, protect his people, and safeguard his wife Andromache and their son, Astyanax. This makes him a symbol of loyalty and duty as much as martial prowess. Physically, Hector is often imagined as tall, strong, and commanding, wearing full armor and carrying a shield and spear. His presence on the battlefield inspires his troops and strikes fear into his enemies, particularly the Greek warriors. One of the most important moments in his story is his duel with Achilles. Hector kills many Greek soldiers, proving his skill and bravery, but eventually faces Achilles in single combat. Despite his courage, Hector is killed, and his body is mistreated by Achilles, an act that sparks both grief and further conflict in the epic. His death is one of the most poignant and tragic moments in Greek mythology, highlighting the human cost of war and heroism. #greekmythologytiktok #hectortroy #thesongofachilles #troy2004
