People choose to ignore Ei's side alot, which causes misunderstanding. The misinterpretation between their relationship even after years is just foolish. Ei never saw herself as Scara or the Shogun's mother—dare i say.. misogyny?

I love the videos,fanarts and such where they make them be like mother and son but sometimes it's getting to a point. HE was the one who saw her as his mother, his creator, his first betrayal while Ei only saw herself as his creator. Ei needed a vessel to hold her gnosis, that was incapable of shedding tears or showing emotions, which she considered a threat to her goal of Eternity. Ei's decision of "abandoning" him was the consequence of the immense trauma and pressure she felt after Makoto's death. She was desperate to create the perfect puppet, unchanging vessel to rule Inazuma so she could retreat into her own mind to avoid "erosion". So any weakness was shown as a flaw to her. She saw her own "fragile" side when she saw him cry. At the time, she was trying to cut off her own emotions because that's what she was thinking is the source of her suffering. And mind you, she let him free, let him live his own life in Inazuma, she didn't destroy him because she saw a kinda mirror self of herself and out of mercy. I wish the fandom would try to understand both his side but also hers☹️☹️☹️
