I think Sayaka x Homura is a good ship, because of the complexity of their relationship reminds me of “A Scum’s Wish” where they use each other, a substitute for their unrequited love

apart me think it like looking at ur own reflection hating it. espacailly since homura has lived it over and over thinking no could understand the agony of trying to save madoka, but in ever time line sayaka has suffered turning into witch. so maybe like to homura in a new timeline u could stop her to from the agony she feels, but she so absorb with madoka she doesnt and it maybe a little guilt or like understanding of how their similiar that turn it into hatered. fyi i havent watch or read in a while but i like to think of it in this way a bit. so no hate pls

My take is that they are so similar that they see in the other what that person thinks of themselves, for example Sayaka thinks that Homura is evil (and Homura considers herself evil) while Homura considers Sayaka a fool (which is what Sayaka calls herself before dying). And another thing is that I think they see themselves too much in the other to understand eachother. The biggest issue tho is that Sayaka starts out being cheerful at the beginning but meets an already traumatised Homura, and even when she also reaches that point she has prejudices against her that are influenced by Homura’s behaviour and Madoka not telling her her own convos with her. In Homura’s side she cares for Sayaka and considers her an old friend, but Sayaka is an incredibly big issue in the timelines and her general hostility towards her causes issues. She is also a huge reason for Madoka’s overall sadness ehich contributes to her making a contract sooo

I always love this thought since they made wish for different type of love. At moment I rewatch everything again, they always have this clash against each other during the different type timelines. Where Sayaka was already had her wish, she was clashing with Homura. Even other times where Homura got to Sayaka before she get a wish, and they clash each other. I like how they are mirror and seeing what two side ended different ways
