Goliath is so overlooked, it’s breaking his spirit being in a kennel day after day 💔 So our wonderful volunteer @starrpugs treated him to a special day out of the shelter 🙏 She tells us the day out “felt like watching a different dog come to life” 💔➡️❤️ In his kennel, Goliath is overwhelmed. The noise, the confinement… it’s just too much 😔 He paces back and forth, trying to cope, trying to tire himself out, waiting for a moment of peace that never quite comes 💔 But the second he got out… everything changed. At 4 years old, this beautiful Bull Terrier mix showed us who he really is. A curious, gentle soul who just wants to explore the world, sniff every corner, and chase a few lizards along the way. A boy who rides perfectly in the car, walks like a gentleman on leash, and quietly takes everything in with those soft, searching eyes ❤️ Toys don’t seem to be his thing right now… nature is his favorite “toy.” The smells, the sounds, the little things outside—those are what light him up. And honestly, that might just be because he’s never had the chance to relax and be a dog. We think once he’s finally in a home, that could all change. He absolutely loves food and takes it so gently, like he already knows how to be someone’s perfect companion. Goliath isn’t chaotic… he’s actually incredibly calm once he feels safe. He let us dress him up in little outfits and even bunny ears without a fuss, like he was just happy to be included… happy to be seen. He loves people. Truly loves them. He’ll walk up to say hello, and once he knows you, he gives the sweetest, most proper hug—no jumping, just pure affection. The kind that makes you stop for a second and feel it. He does well with other dogs but can be a little selective, so a dog meet is recommended. He just wants the right match… just like he’s been waiting for the right person.
