Ok so I live in South Louisiana. It dosent get super cold here. I feel like I get new growth alllll year. I finally decided to cut down in February. I had a lot of pencil sized ones grow since but I decided to let them fern out. It’s now May and I have some big thick asparagus coming up all of a sudden. I can pick them right??? I mean they are huge! But it’s may!!!
