@machi7k: "These Trails" exists at the intersection of the "hippie" movement being exported to Hawaii and the dynamic between Native Hawaiians and the direct descendants of those that dismantled their sovereignty. In my opinion it's a very beautiful piece of music, I just can't help but view it in this context, especially because of the way it mixes elements of Hawaii music and imagery with instruments from other parts of the world. #hawaii #hippie #folk #psychedelic #colonialism
