Not because they’re broken or unlovable, but because selfish, irresponsible people treat them like disposable toys and then abandon them when life gets inconvenient. This isn’t “sad.” This is infuriating. This is cruel. And it’s completely preventable. Some of these dogs never had any kindness. Never felt a gentle touch. Never knew a single day of safety or love. They waited in shelters, hoping for someone decent. Only to be killed because no one stepped up. If you’re not ready to commit to a dog for its entire life. For better or worse. Then don’t you dare get one. Dogs are not accessories, not entertainment, not things you can discard when they’re no longer cute or convenient. They are living, breathing beings who depend on us completely, and we are failing them miserably. Spay and neuter your damn pets. Commit before you adopt. Stop making excuses.
