@charlotte.equestr: Blackjack making progress with being more confident for the bigger jumps makes me so happy. Hats off to rider Scarlett, Blackjack is not only quite unpredictable, easily bored and unsure in himself but he’s also a trotter so his pace, rhythm and jumps are kinda funky everyone hates riding him🤣. Super grateful for Scarlett giving me the chance to retrain my horse in my own way with a helping hand, the way I know my horse will enjoy best and be most confident. No hate on rider position he almost had her off twice so anyone would be weary if he’s gonna jump the next time and get a little left behind. pop a neck strap on and hold it going over the jump so he can move freely. ive worked with horses that tense fear jumping due to no freedom in the head so pressure on their mouths. or grab mane. pop ground poles in next approaching to get him steady and in a rhythm and he will have morw confidence in himself to jump and less dirty stops. loving the praise and encoragement for him. good stick ability from the rider.
