Manchester airport assistance abandoned me too. Sat waiting for almost an hour by the gate. Ended up having to press the emergency call button 3 times because they said someone should be coming (but they didn’t) so on the last press I told them I needed someone sending immediately and that this was completely unacceptable

I work for the assistance service at the airport of belgium and hearing these kind of stories break my heart. I love my job TRULY and try to help as best as i can. Communication is KEY and leaving just like that is crazy.. it’s literally our job to help people. 😕

hey girl! same thing has just happened to me and they were so rude!! they brought my wheelchair to the plane door then told me they werent offering me any more assistance as there were “too many people” requiring assistance. i had to figure out getting to immigration on my own with my luggage so so sorry this happened to you!!! they need to do so much better its so awful.

I had a problem with assistance at Gatwick, not for a disability but I was travelling with a 6 week old baby & two under 5’s. Paid extra for basically another pair of hands .. never arrived, I had to ask a cleaner to get my suitcases off the carousel for me!

now im really thankfull for the guy that assisted me, my friend and my grandma (the assisted one) when we were there, but yikes, at least my grandma had me and my friend if the assistant just full on left 😭

I commented this on your last vid, but was this late at night or early in the morning? I’ve never been to Manchester, but last I was at my local (Canadian) airport I booked assistance only to find out when I arrived that it was only available during certain hours (something they neglected to tell me when I booked nor was indicated anywhere on the airport’s website) and my flight was outside that time window. This doesn’t excuse what happened but maybe it explains why it happened?
