my first custom solo dress in 2008. knotwork was already basically obsolete by then but I absolutely insisted on it. this is the closest I could get until my next dress in 2010 (pic in replies)

I got my solo dress in 2019 and really wanted celtic knots and didnt care about styles or trends. I got what I wanted. My dress was outdated shortly after I wore it for the first time in 2021 (thanks covid) and wore it until 2024 when I semi-retired. I didnt care. I loved it and thats all that mattered.
