@katshortsleeve: When I moved to NYC this fall, I leaned heavily on the community I already had. Now that I’m building a life here from scratch, I’ve been learning a few things about how to actually create that community wherever you are. Saying hi in the elevator instead of staying in your own world. Learning people’s names. Bringing someone something small just because you thought of them. Following up instead of letting a moment pass.
