They’re just mental events. But the moment you believe a thought, attach meaning to it, and emotionally react to it, your brain starts wiring it in as something real and important. That’s when it begins to influence you. A thought like “I’m not good enough” is just a sentence passing through your mind… until you accept it as truth. Then your nervous system reacts, your behavior shifts, and your reality starts to reflect it. Spiritual teachings have said this for centuries in a different way: you are the observer of your thoughts, not the thoughts themselves. You don’t have to fight every negative thought.
