Yes!! My mom didn’t really teach me about hygiene and it took me until my mid 20s to fully learn. I now have an obsession with collecting fragrances that is probably rooted in that need to never be bullied for smelling again.

I didn't have running water in my house from the time I was 10, until after I graduated highschool. I think about 11 year old me not being able to shower after she got her first period. I think about the me who had to deal with her changing body the best she could with just a pan of water. I try not to judge people who have a smell. I don't know what they're going through.
