"super ruined goku" except super was toriyamas way to turn db into more of a gag type serious (which was his original plan for db as a series) since he had stated himself that he felt that db was getting too serious for his liking. plus people really like to overreact, its not like gokus character got COMPLETELY wiped and left behind a one dimensional stupid husk, he is very much so still goku just more the way toriyama invisioned. if you dont like that then you're missing the point of db.

Z has a good writing and It's one of my favorites since DBZ Kai as well I love this version of Goku but I also love Super since sometimes he knows how to be serious when the world is at stake and bro actually gave the other universe's a chance to redeem themselves since Zeno and Future Zeno was planning to destroy the lower level universe's without Goku setting up the Tournament they would have all been erased and I understand his character very well he may be a bit goofy but he is smart in some ways and always finds a way to support his family and spends time with Gohan and Chichi and In super where the first time Goku and Goten had spend time together farming because it's their first time to hang out together I wish they had more Bonding moments in Super including Goku and Pan spending time together as well Like in GT and I'm happy that Trunks and Goten are getting their screen time in the future.
