Nope. I worked for that American company you are refering to and we were taught to measure underband and bust. Never a third measurement. That is very strange and I have never seen that done any where. That's NOT the "American" way.

I disagree. Your bra is not only to keep up the sisters, it's also tightened in to a moving area. If you get too tight bras they will constrain your ability to breathe normally. 🫁

lasenza, Victoria secrets and la vie en rose all measure wrong. I did the webpage a bra that fits and then went to a place like change lingerie and a shop that sells euro sizing and boom found the best fitting bras ever!!

M&S always told me I was a 40DD and as a result I had a double bust and no support. I was actually a 36FF

I stopped trusting M&S when they tried putting me in a 34 back, but I had already measured my back size and got 30 (I only wanted to get a fit for the cup size as I didnt know how to calculate it) that was enough for me to question everything about their accuracy.

Question please, when you measure the back size, is this the size you would use for the band ? It is normal for the bra supplied to be 4-5 inches smaller ? As an example, if it measures 48 around would you expect the bra to be a 42 that’s so tight it digs in ? Thanks for any help

They measured me at a 34DD but the bra cup is too big & the straps tend to fall down a bit, what size would you recommend me trying out? The band size is perfect, just the cups are a size too big.

I’ve never been measured the “American” way (from south eastern USA) but I have never actually been measured accurately by anyone anywhere anyway. I have found a few ladies (especially on TikTok) that showed and taught me how to measure myself and I now have bras that fit well and comfortably.
