Personally I don't care what the prairies think, I'm sick of watching the world burning around me being told we can't do anything because it would affect the profit of an oil company

I’m hopeful for Avi Lewis. He’s the first Democratic socialist since Ed Broadbent. I think he’ll make the party truly progressive once again.

I voted for Avi. He’s the right guy for the job. Wab Kinew attended (on stage), his victory party for a reason.

I really think this is the wrong choice. The NDP is a worker party and we’re a resourced based economy. I don’t think he can pull the western provinces.

Avi is a great option. He’s an excellent leader who is developing a platform with expertise from people in their industries. Everyone saying Wab - he didn’t run for federal leadership! He’s Manitoba NDP. I hope he does in the future, but he didn’t this time.

I voted for Tanille, I’m not totally sold on Avi yet but I would love to be pleasantly surprised! We really need a strong NDP leader

personally I think we need to get more first nations representation in government. A first nations party leader would go a long way in my opinion.

Beck amd Nenshi have made some statements about his opinions that differ from theirs in regards to resources. Going to be interesting; I hope he can rebuild the party. I don’t think he can I think he’ll make it smaller. Hope I’m wrong.

Lewis is a better option than McPherson, but I don’t know if he’s a good choice, we’ll see.

One thing though, he should be seeking a seat in the house asap. I’d say it’s difficult leading from the outside. but not having official party status is going to be tough.

There is no such thing as a perfect candidate, and I disagree with Avi on some big issues, but I do think his perspective is a breath of fresh air we do need right now.

Idealism left or right is not going to serve anyone. We need to solve for affordability which will need a pragmatic approach. Need to invest in renewable energy, but also know fossil fuels are not going away. No country is going to withdraw from NATO
