You can use Apple or Android on vehicles. The subscription fee everyone talks about is for the Manufacturers app. The only thing you get by subscribing is remote start. There is a specific GPS feature and diagnosis that you don’t need. Just use Google Maps or Waze for gps. Your dash has a check engine light. Why pay to connect it to your phone.

The subscription he is referring to basically just adds Alexa to the infotainment, it’s ridiculous. All of the major ford app features are included for free. I lock, unlock, remote start, check/schedule maintenance and locate my truck all from the app without a subscription.
