This is silly. “Statistically” you’re going to lose in the long run regardless. Betting straights doesn’t magically make it not gambling. In reality you should just be betting for fun.

I get what your saying however I would like to test this theory with you, I have allot of points that I’d like to bring up, if I teach you afl (one of the best sports to bet on), would you join me in a stage where I parlay 2-3 legs at 1.75-2.00 odds at 1.5 units to 1 unit, and you straight bet similarly and see who becomes more protisble?

Not true. The odds multiply on parlays so that means your edge multiplies as well. Also placing a million straight bets with an edge makes you stand out like crazy to sportsbooks and will get you limited very quickly

Idk dude. Hitting an 8 leg division parlay a couple years back was pretty awesome. 10 turned into 16 grand. Show me the straight bet that can do that

If a play is profitable (+EV), a parlay will compound the ROI in your favor the same way the vig compounds for the book on -EV plays

That’s assuming all their legs are -110 and not the -500 they all use. Also none of them know a parlay is only worth doing when the events are playing simultaneously. If you 3 leg the NFL 1pm games then fine have fun. But if you have a 1p then 4p then the SNF game? A three leg parlay wins the exact same as you would if you just won bet 1, rolled it into bet 2, then rolled that into bet 3.

genuine question... does this math consider the boosts the books often provide on parlays? im guilty of dabbling in parlays when im getting 50% or 100% wager boosts on +100 odds.
