canvas town is everything to me for so many reasons. a place founded on community and expression and art that honors and celebrates each other, even when they pass (seeing everyone grab paints to celebrate Gob has me weeping evertime, they LOVED him and it's beautifully shown). art is part of the soul of so many people and cultures and movements and an entire town dedicated to protecting something that has saved so many lives and I've devoted myself to since I could remember and will continue to is so so so special to me. art will persist.

This scene will never not make me cry as someone who doesn’t remember a time I wasn’t doing art it started as silly paintings I made my smooshing paper into my palette to see what would happen when I was 4 to beautiful paintings and getting to put my art of people’s bodies whether it be their hair or inked in their skin I will always understand how important it was for the pit that canvas town existed how badly they needed that space

ngl I hope that as the series progresses we get introduced to "The City of Music" or something like that where it's very like Canvas Town, it celebrates an individual's musical soul and how different types of music helps that individual navigate their lives with said music... idk it's a fun thought
