My rice cooker has an on button and that’s it. Still gonna try this, but I’m gonna mix liquids separately, then mix the solid ingredients. I have a habit of destroying rice when I mix (which is why I got the rice cooker), so this should leave them unmashed.

Tried this with a rice cooker that just has cook and warm. Turned out pretty good. I was afraid the rice wouldnt be done but it was. I think next time I might try 2 eggies. Thanks! Also. We don’t have oyster sauce so I used hoisin instead 🙃

One rice dinner my wife and I did under the advice of someone. Take a two or three pieces of fried chicken and cook it WITH the rice (from cold). At the end add veggies and a sauce of your choice. It’s freaking amazing. The oils and chicken seeps into the rice

mine did not come out right. not sure what i did wrong but it was almost white still when it came out and the flavor was like barley there. i do have the version below yours with the stainless steel pot. wonder if that’s what changed it
