I’m not one of those guys who believes steroids added to his ability to hit home runs due to massive strength increases. I believe steroids simply enhanced his body’s ability to repair itself, thus allowing him to stay in the game long enough to break those career records and stay on the field enough to hit the games he needed to put up “season” numbers. Cheating, yes. But steroids doesn’t take away from his hitting greatness.

I don’t even care if he was juiced. He’s better than anybody that’s ever walked up to the plate. In my opinion. I could be wrong. I’m so glad I got to watch all those games. I live in Central Valley, so I got to see a a lot of Barry. Hall of fame for sure. Thank you, Barry.
