I’m currently working as a scribe at a GI clinic, and honestly it’s changed my perspective on medicine so much. When I first applied, I really thought I’d just be taking notes, but I wasn’t expecting how much knowledge I would gain from this job. I’ve learned so much medical terminology, and it really helps that my doctor takes the time to explain things to me sometimes especially when we see rare cases or unusual medical histories. Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely days where I’m like do I really want to do this? but most days I’m like I really hope I get to do this one day
