Congrats on 100 species!! Your Scrub Jay moment inspired me to go to Lyonia today and I managed to photograph this handsome man! He didn’t jump on my head but it was nice to watch him build his nest with his wife :D

Might I suggest Lakeland?! lol they have white and black swans around lake Morton and are famous for them. There’s also tons of pelicans, ducks, limpkins, wood storks, ibis, etc

I appreciate that you have shared. I had a lifer experience yesterday in Sanibel Island and seeing the Yellow Billed Mangrove Cuckoo❣️❣️❣️it was so amazing sharing it with an amazing elderly lady that just got into birding. Sharing that moment with her made my day

Finally saw a juvie swallow tailed kite, right out my back door. We have so many adult pairs here. Of course I never have my big digital camera with me at the moment and they obviously don’t stick around.

Congrats. It’s been so fun to watch. My husband and I Sandhill Cranes last night with two very new babies and we basically had to save the babies when the tried to cross the street because there was a concrete barrier that both parents jumped but the babies were too little so my husband basically had to herd them to the end to get to the parents and the dad was yelling at him the whole way. Then this morning he saw them coming back but they knew how to navigate it this time. I snapped a picture but not great. Will try to dm it to you. I have never seen the babies this young.
