everytime I consider getting a sew in or a wig or any type of protective hair style for a change I see video like that and I look at my hair and I think yk what I will stick to my natural hair and my flat iron twice a year, I'm not risking 24 years of growth for a cute look for 2 months I fear, I can't do it my heart won't take it I fear.

Unrelated to the video but related to your other content... I am ONE MONTH into my new routine and my hair is thriving! The pre-poo oil treatment for 30 min, clarifying shampoo (bi weekly cause Switzerland has hard water) then hydrating / moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, then letting the anti frizz blow dry treatment saturate my hair for a few min (wee bit of air drying) then blow dry with low heat, flat iron on low heat (160°C) - it's smooth, less frizz and barely any shedding. I make sure I apply my nighttime hydration routine as soon as I get home then wrap my hair. No heat on my hair daily either. As you've said: consistency is key.
