@spicymombrain: And it made me realize how many kids are never taught to ask before approaching animals. This isn’t just manners — it’s safety for everyone involved. Please normalize “ask first.” #momlifeunfiltered #farmlife #animalsafety #parentingtips #raisingkids
I think there’s 2 things happening. 1: too many parents aren’t parenting. 2: too many people have fake service dogs and allow people to pet them in public…which has set a certain standard…or lack of standard

yeah no, I don't allow that! my daughter definitely would so every dog we see I always either just say no depending on the person or I have her ask them!

I always say don't pet dogs in public, and 90% of owners say, don't worry, my dog is great with kids! excuse me, no one asked and scarily, sometimes dogs are not...

I taught my kid to never approach ANY animal without consent; service animal, therapy animal, or pet.

Very first thing I taught my child about dogs in public… service animals are working, interrupting them or their human can lead to harm of the human. All animals could be dangerous, we never just touch or even approach without evaluating the situation, asking me, then asking the animal’s human. This goes for animals in cages as well.
