I’d been making like $15k-$20k for the last few years. Then I had my first sitting down job and earned $30k. It was insane how life changing that was. For the first time, I could go and get a bagel and a matcha and not worry. My next job will be even better!

Living in nyc is eating $1 meals for a month then going to a nice dinner out with friends once, yall saying after rent $500 a month is impossible, I’ve eaten off $10 for a week, there are so many hacks in nyc, nothing is free in the sense that you have to spend your time searching and signing up for things but I promise you there is always some way you can get an amazing deal in the city

$80k gross doesn’t equate to net, and you also have traditional 401k deductions if you’re contributing to them.
