This post is misleading. Good Samaritan Laws are in effect in all 50 states. Rescuers are immune from civil liability for any injury resulting from treatment except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. State laws vary in their language for licensed/certified health care workers, but ordinary citizens who render aid are protected.
