Wholeheartedly agree. It’s infuriating how commercialized these places have become. We need strict regulations to protect these natural habitats, but unfortunately, those conversations don’t seem to be happening anytime soon

im Vietnamese and I totally agree with you about Phu Quoc. you and I have same taste. I guess you will love Con Dao , its very very very nature place, and not too crowdy, I feel totally peaceful when I go there, thats the only place I want to come back again and again. its the only place in Vietnam have natural turtle come and oviposit. check it out

"You are absolutely right. I am Vietnamese, and even I feel sad and disappointed. They are destroying nature with these projects. You visited Phu Quoc 10 years ago, but I was there back in 2006 for my honeymoon. The island was truly beautiful back then; it was filled with red basalt roads lined with lush green forests on both sides, and the beaches were pristine and clean. I still feel so fortunate that I got to experience Phu Quoc so long ago—those are such wonderful memories."

as a viet living in ha long, i agree with you. halong bay was so boring theres basically nothing special to see, and the prices here could be very high. theres also nothing to entertain here, just coffee shops next to coffee shops

I'm Vietnamese and I couldn't agree with you more. If you prefer nice beaches with wildlife, pure nature, and an island vibe, go to Con Dao. I used to work with Con Dao National Park, and they still manage to keep their island free from destruction. You can see sea turtles come and lay eggs during summer, and if you're lucky enough, you will see manatees. Mus try
