When ever someone says "it's obvious" I respond with, no it's not. If you want me to agree with you, you need to specifically explain to me what you are seeing. Then I don't move off of that until they do. When they can't or are general, I push.

I had a truck driver call in and report me as rude because my “voice is too deep and it doesn’t give him the warm and fuzzies” his EXACT words I got written up for being rude. I ended up getting fired and I sued and won.
