Hair transplant update after 6 months!! I went to @utahfacialplastics for my procedure and had a fantastic experience. They made me feel comfortable and understood the exact look I wanted to achieve! I first noticed my hair loss sophomore year of college in 2019. A hair transplant was something I had wanted to do for years and I finally gifted myself it for my 30th birthday. If you have the means and ever thought about it I cannot recommend it enough. It’s a weird feeling to be excited about my hair again for the first time since I was a teenager! I personally felt staying in the US would get me better care and a more natural hairline which was a massive factor for me. I kept it conservative with the graft total (2600) so I could get another one in the future but more importantly I didn’t want someone to look at me and be able to tell I had a transplant done. FAQ’s: -I got 2600 grafts (quoted $14,700) -been using topical minoxidil & finasteride since 2021. Still using post transplant and will need to going forward. - I use topical over oral for less risk of side effects, but could be slightly less effective -oral finasteride has a 3% risk of side effects and no recorded cases of the side effects not going away, but it’s certainly possibly (why I chose oral option) -the worst part of the procedure was the numbing before hand and the rest was fine. Lowkey sleep with the neck pillow and upright for two weeks after night have been the worst part of it all -FUE method was used which did not require me to shave my head before operation #hairtransplant #fue #hair #hairloss
