This is devastating. As someone who works in tech specifically on deploying AI models, I can tell you that the technology itself isn’t the problem. When good people lead these companies, real safeguards get built in and ethics aren’t an afterthought. I’ve been part of those efforts. It’s hard work but so freaking important. But when you have profit-obsessed CEOs like Sam Altman at the helm, AI becomes a direct reflection of their values, and that should terrify all of us.
