@appalachiantrail: Before they were colleagues at the ATC, Kathryn Herndon-Powell and Morgan Sommerville were hikers standing at the edge of life-changing journeys. Morgan began his thru-hike in 1977, and Kathryn completed hers in 2006. Both went on to dedicate their careers to protecting the Appalachian Trail. In this video (part 2 of 2), they reflect on how the Trail has changed since their hikes, what they admire about the next generation of hikers, and their advice to those standing at the start of their own life-changing journeys.
