Not to contradict your post but there are certified organic red yeast rice supplements. What are your thoughts about this?

Thoughts on psyllium husk for someone with just slightly elevated LDL? Already a pretty clean lifestyle (diet and exercise).

My primary physician has recommended taking a purified version of red yeast rice because a low dose statin made me dizzy. Should I change physicians?

Thank you so much for your time and expertise. I listened to all your posts. I have red yeast rice complex made and formulated in Canada (CanPrev) with 300mg of red yeast rice with ubiqulnot, bit C,D3, choline and lecithin plus plant sterols , without monacolin. I know that you are pro statin but this supplement really works. Cheers and regards

Red yeast rice is a statin, lovastatin to be exact? It’s the worst of the statins, weak and has known side effects as muscle pains?
