My son was a terribleeeee sleeper as well and he magically started sleeping better at 18months lol moves a lot but relatively sleeps through the night with 1 wake up some days. Tried floor bed at 6 months. Didn’t matter. He just wanted me close by

Make today the best :
My daughter jumped out of her crib at 8ths 🤦🏽♀️…. straight to a full size- floor bed with safety- railsz even though it was close to the floor that drop was still a drop, for her back then! She’s 31 now!

make sure you add some slats to the bottom, the mattress will grow mold it it's sitting on the floor with nothing underneath
