Here are my tips: • Max 3 to 5 videos per product, don’t go over. If they push for more at same price, walk away • Only 0 to 1 revision per video, remind them they chose you for your work • Always film extra clips in same outfit so revisions are quick, just add clips + voiceover

Girl this is why I don’t do any retainers that require edits. I don’t have the time or want to do the back n forth. I just signed up with a guy that handles all my retainers (communications etc) and he has a no edit put into it

I honestly don’t even take any brand deals from agencies anymore. They never listen to my rates which are 700+ per video and I really don’t do edits unless it’s a really big brand that I know will push me out. It gets to be more of a hassle than it’s worth sometimes.

I was in same situation was my first retainer contract. I sent them the draft and they didn't like it i was more stressed than just doing my regular videos.. after that never got retainers again if they dont let me do free style no thanks..

For the future I would create a contract that states what’s included/any limitations of the retainer-I.e. 2 edits max-deliverables are final based on labor/time and any guidelines they’ve provided…. I’m so sorry this happened to you. I know how frustrating it is. It sucks that not all biz relationships workout, but now you’ve learned and we’ve learned from your story!!🖤
